The Watchman's Rattle, Rebecca D. Costa is beginning to be an interesting read. She is a very young and poorly documented author, but the book got published and has an excellent beginning. If you like Jared Diamond and The Earth is Flat guy, you should check it out. Could be more chicken little stuff, but compelling.
And finally, the AIG financial statement came to my door last week. Lowest priority document of all time, according to the plain white wrapper. It sat in the recycling bin for two days before I realized what it was. This is the doc that explains why AIG needed so much money and when and how they are going to pay it back. These are the answers we have been waiting for! Right? Well, be careful what you ask for. Finally got around to glancing at it. 700 + pages of legal, financial speak.
